Our standards

The process of digitizing an archive is much more than simply scanning materials into a computer.

Our standards and processes range from scanning the original documents, meta data entry, data storage, indexing, search, presentation and sharing of information over networks and the internet. The result is high-quality, functional digital archives that can be relied upon and efficiently utilized by content owners and researchers.

Our proprietary Archive Digitization Application (ADA) software is designed specifically to address the needs of historical archives and can be customized for any type of internal archival structure, media type and metadata organization.

ADA leads, manages and monitors the process of documents and audio/video archive digitization, presentation and research. Our recommended standards are:

  • 300 dpi color and grayscale scanning resolution
  • 99.5% accuracy Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for printed documents.

ADA Film manages the process of photo negatives digitization, presentation and research. Our recommended standards are:

  • 3000 - 4000 dpi color and grayscale scanning resolution.

success stories
Our mission is the preservation and access of history for future generations. We believe that they should know of our heroism and struggles, our accomplishments and failings. Above all, they should know about the power of little things in our everyday life. We have entered the digital era ready to deliver on this commitment.
